Transcript analysis of glycan related genes qRT-PCR.

The CCRC offers custom synthesis and compositional analysis of complex carbohydrates as a service to scientists in university, industrial, and government laboratories. We also offer assistance to those who need information on complex carbohydrates derived from animal, plant, and microbial sources. To initiate an analytical service contract, please contact
Dr. Parastoo Azadi at 706-583-0629 or Dr. Russ Carlson at 706-542-4439.

Our Service Synthesis Laboratory (SSL) offers custom synthesis of oligosaccharides, glycoconjugates, and related compounds using the latest synthetic technologies. Technical inquiries should be directed to Dr. Geert-Jan Boons at gjboons@ccrc.uga.edu.

The CCRC NMR spectroscopy facility, under the direction of Professor James H. Prestegard, is used to determine molecular structures of carbohydrates and proteins and to investigate the structural and dynamical basis of protein-carbohydrate interactions. Technical inquiries about the facility or NMR services should be directed to Dr. John Glushka at 706-542-4483.

The molecular modeling computational simulations use the all-atom AMBER force field for proteins and nucleic acids and a novel set of parameters developed by Dr. Rob Woods' group for use with carbohydrates, GLYCAM. The GLYCAM parameters are currently suitable for all biologically relevant N- and O-linkages in oligo- and polysaccharides and glycoproteins.

CarboSource Services under the direction of Dr. Debra Mohnen was created to provide researchers with non-commercially available substrates required for cell wall biosynthesis.  Technical inquiries should be directed to Sarah Inwood at 706-542-4499 or carbosource@ccrc.uga.edu.

Select one of the above topics to find out more about analytical methods used, facilities available for analyses, amount of sample required, general criteria for sample preparation, and costs for routine analyses. Please do not submit samples without prior agreement. Contact the persons listed for additional information about non-routine analyses or any other specific requirements or questions you may have.
Please click here to fill out a request for analytical services.
CCRC will not begin sample analysis until the request form is completed and submitted.
